Maximilian “Max” Aue, a Texas Ranger, receives 640 acres as a land grant in Leon Springs. Begins developing homestead and store.
Max Aue marries Emma Toepperwein and expands the homestead. The site becomes a post office and stagecoach stop on the “Jackass Line” between San Antonio and San Diego.
Aue constructs the two-story limestone hotel, later known as the Aue Stagecoach Inn which opens in 1879, to accommodate increased traffic and travelers.
The Aue Stagecoach Inn and Homestead are added to the National Register of Historic Places.
The Aue Hotel building becomes corporate headquarters for Leon Springs Gas Co. (Rudy's Bar-B-Q), preserving its historical integrity while repurposing it for business operations.
The Aue Station Event Center is remodeled and rebranded as Aue Station, combining restored limestone architecture with modern facilities for weddings, business meetings, and community gatherings.
